Grade 7 Pizza Night January 31st 6pm

Byrne Creek`s Senior Wind Ensemble will once again host the local elementary bands for a pizza night and performance showcase.  More details in the new year!

District Band Night January 24th 2018

The 2018 Band Festival at MJ Fox Theatre is on January 24th at 7pm.  Festivo and Rhosymedre.

Choir Performance Monday December 11th

Choir Performance at Burnaby Central  Secondary.
All students meet near main office at 615pm, all black concert dress. 
We will perform, Northwest passage, Song of Mary and Blue Bucket.

New updates plus new course outlines coming soon

Spring Concert is on June 1st at 6:30 in the atrium of Byrne Creek Community School. 

Entrance is by donation, great music, music awards and a raffle draw for a guitar donated by Neil Douglas Guitar Shop.

Students will attend the entire show (arrive by 6 pm) and support all the students in the music department, I am excited to hear the talented students of Byrne perform the final concert of this school year, and to watch the grade 12's perform for the last time as students at Byrne Creek. Students are asked to stay after the show to help clean up for 15 minutes.  Thank you to the parents for supporting our school, students and Music Department.  See you on June 1st!

Reminder of some changes affecting our before and after school classes this next week.  Also a reminder of our Grade 7 pizza night on Wednesday at 6pm, and our Choir performance at lunch this Thursday.

NO JUNIOR JAZZ ON MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY MORNING- 
*It has been moved to FRIDAY MORNING- Practice everyday, cause its fun!

NO SENIOR JAZZ ON TUESDAY MORNING-practice Bounce for Wednesday.  We will run it after the wind ensemble rehearsal on Wednesday, 4:30pm.

Monday's senior wind ensemble time will be used for sectionals.  Please focus on the first movement of the Yorkshire Folksongs, and from letter G to the end of the Zelda Medley.  The extra parts are in the music room on the clipboard.  We have to perform this on Wednesday Night!  

Tuesday's choir time will be used for sectionals, please work on Shumayela and Burra Ferra for our performance this Thursday.  You all sounded great last rehearsal, work smart in your sectionals and be sure to sound as "one".
